Q. Why do you ask for my driver’s license?
Driver’s licenses or a state issued I.D. is required to authenticate your identity and minimize fraud.
Q. What insurance coverage is required?
Depending on the type of service to be provided, you may be required to maintain some or all of the insurance coverage specified below. General Liability:
- Property Damage: $500,000
- Bodily Injured: $500,000
- General Aggregate: $1,000,000
Worker’s Compensation:
- $500,000 (if required by your state)
The above-referenced insurance certificates must indicate Altisource Portfolio Solutions as the certificate holder. Automobile Insurance:
- As requested by your state.

Q. Why does Altisource need to be the certificate holder on insurance certificates?
Altisource needs to be the certificate holder on insurance certificates to ensure notification of any changes and / or cancellation of your policies. You are not adding Altisource as an additional insured or allowing Altisource to make changes to your policies. It is strictly a mechanism to retain current insurance records.
Q. What working license do I need to have?
Licensing requirements depend on individual state regulations. Altisource requires the same licenses as the state where you work (i.e. contractor’s license, remodeler’s license, appraiser’s license, etc.).
Q. What is REALTrans®?
REALTrans® is the software application Altisource uses to manage vendors and work orders. Prior to receiving any work orders, you will be required to register your company on the REALTrans platform. Registration includes details about your company’s services, coverage area(s) (by zip code) and contact information. Once you are registered in REALTrans, you will receive work orders via email. Work order details can be found by logging into your REALTrans account. Altisource manages vendor payments through its REALRemit® electronic invoicing and payment system. You may submit your invoice and photos electronically through the system, expediting payment directly in to your bank account (typically within 10 working days). REALTrans® Benefits:
